Regarding Stauffer's Stars

We feel fortunate to have so many supporters that are passionate about our products. We are aware of your frustration regarding our Milk and Dark Chocolate Stars not being available this year.

We have read each and every comment, message, and feedback submission, and want to take a moment to address the topic directly.

Our decision to change Stars this year was not made lightly. We took into consideration rising cocoa costs that threatened to increase the retail price of Stars to approximately $8 per box, an increase that would greatly reduce availability in stores. We worked hard to design a Stars lineup that delivers festive cheer and satisfying crunch, while maintaining both affordability and accessibility.

Our White and Dark Fudge Stars, sprinkled with nonpareils, are made with plant-based colors and without high fructose corn syrup, artificial flavors, or peanuts. They also contain the same quality non-GMO coating that we use on our other products.

Prior to launch, we conducted a York Community panel test to gather feedback on taste and appearance. It was only after receiving overall positive results that we felt comfortable taking the next step. However, we wanted to make it clear that we changed the product, so we changed the packaging as well.
