York Literacy Council: 2023 Buck A Buck
Earlier this year, our Community Involvement Team in York sponsored the York County Literacy Council's 2023 Buck A Book Reading Program. The Buck A Book Reading Program is an incentivized reading program that encourages students to read. In exchange, the program and its sponsors donate to meaningful causes within the community. This year, 2,000 school students read 20,000 books and with the help of the program’s sponsors raised $115,000. A huge accomplishment, indeed! The funds will be used to provide free GED, English as a Second Language, math, and digital literacy classes.
